These terms describe the conditions for using drmarcelogobbo.com, including the newsletter and the members area. By browsing the site, subscribing to the newsletter or creating a free member account, you agree to what is described here.
1. Nature of the content
All content on this site, including the blog essays, the newsletter and the materials on impact and ESG, is strictly informational and educational. It does not constitute a medical consultation, diagnosis, prescription or individual treatment guidance, and reading these pages does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Decisions about your health or your family's require an individual evaluation with a qualified professional who knows your history and context.
2. Emergencies and crisis
This site is not a care channel. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency service (in Brazil, SAMU at 192) or go to the nearest emergency room. In severe emotional distress or suicide risk, in Brazil the CVV (Centro de Valorização da Vida) answers at 188, 24 hours, free of charge, and your local CAPS network offers mental health support.
3. Intellectual property
The texts, illustrations and visual identity of this site are original works by Dr. Marcelo Gobbo Jr., unless otherwise stated; third-party quotations always appear identified with author and source. You may quote brief excerpts for non-commercial purposes, provided there is clear attribution and a link to the original page. Full reproduction, modification or commercial use of any content, including content sent by email to members, requires prior written permission.
4. Use of the site
You may read, share links and quote with attribution. You may not use the content to train commercial systems without permission, republish texts as your own, alter materials while keeping the author's signature, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.
5. Newsletter and member account
The newsletter "O fio do cuidado" and the members area are free and optional. You subscribe with your email and it depends on your consent, given at sign-up; account access uses passwordless login, through a link sent to your email. By subscribing, you agree to provide a valid email that belongs to you, and not to use the service for abusive purposes, such as signing up third parties without consent or attempting to bypass the platform's security.
You may cancel at any time, with one click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or request account deletion through the contact email. Handling of newsletter and member account data is described in the Privacy Policy. Should a paid subscription plan exist in the future, the commercial conditions, price and cancellation policy will be presented clearly before any charge, and payment will be processed by a specialized provider (Stripe).
6. Liability
The content is produced with rigor and based on the best evidence available at the date of publication, with sources cited within the texts themselves. Medicine, however, evolves: information can become outdated, and the site, the newsletter and the members area are offered "as is," without a guarantee of continuous availability. The author is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of the content of these pages or emails, without an individual professional evaluation.
7. External links
The site and the newsletter contain links to third-party pages, such as scientific articles, social networks and news outlets. Those destinations have their own policies and content, over which we have no control or responsibility.
8. Medical advertising
This site seeks to observe the rules of Brazil's Federal Council of Medicine (CFM) applicable to medical advertising and communication, including identifying the physician by name, CRM and RQE.
9. Privacy
The processing of personal data on this site, in the newsletter and in the members area is described in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Brazilian law, in particular the Internet Civil Framework (Law 12.965/2014) and the LGPD (Law 13.709/2018). The courts of the district of Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, are elected to settle any disputes, subject to legal jurisdiction rules.
11. Changes
These terms may be revised at any time; the version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date at the top. Relevant changes affecting the newsletter or the member account may be announced by email.
